Built by City of Racine workers in the summer of 1920, this octagonal brick gazebo has overlooked North Beach and Lake Michigan for more than a century. Originally created as a bandstand, the project cost the city just $2,500.
Generations of Racine residents have gathered here for music, celebrations or simply a quiet view of the water. Standing above one of Wisconsin’s finest public beaches, the gazebo remains a small but cherished piece of Racine’s lakefront history.
