Golden Rondelle Theater

The Golden Rondelle was originally created as the SC Johnson Pavilion for the 1964–65 New York World’s Fair. Beneath its dramatic golden disc, visitors watched To Be Alive!, a celebration of humanity that later won the 1966 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.
After the fair, the theater was dismantled and brought home to Racine, reopening at SC Johnson’s headquarters in 1967. It remains a distinctive city landmark and continues to host films, educational programs and community events.
