Experimental Spiral Wind Power

The goal is not simply to copy existing wind turbine designs at a smaller scale. The goal is to explore new ways to collect, guide, accelerate, and extract useful energy from moving air — especially in compact systems where traditional wind turbines are inefficient, noisy, or impractical.

At the center of the concept is a spiral rotating sail structure. Rather than relying solely on flat blades, the Stratus Gyre design uses aimed, curved helical surfaces to interact with wind from multiple directions. These surfaces help capture wind energy while guiding airflow through the machine in a controlled spiral.
